They said they couldn't adjust the speedo for my bigger tires. Anything after 05 did not have that feature. I'm hoping Parts&Service reads this and can chime in????

She also gets a lot more attention when sitting still. I think its the silver Bilstein 5100's that gets everyones attention!!!!!

Apparently on 06's and up they changed the way tire size could be adjusted and now the dealer can only adjust up to 285's. I think the only way arounf this is to get a programmer like a Smarty (there might be others). These actually have much more flexibility in setting discrete tire sizes.

Yeah, those bilsteins do make it look good dont they...

They wouldn't even try that noplugs. Said there was nothing they could do to help me!!!!
The Smarty is an idea, but i don't want to give them any excuses to deny any warranty claims!!!! So i probably won't go that route until my warranty is up!!!!

Is this common with all leveling kits ? Was thinking abought the Hell Bent, will that take the axtel off center ?
if you do a lift w/o it, it will pull the axle to the drivers side... have a look under there and imagine what happens when the drivers side lifts up... pushes the axle towards the drivers side. the amount is small however in some cases big enough to cause rubbing. I did the swap to eliminate rubbing on the back of the fender wells & it took care of it nicely...

Adjustable Trac Bar will not help the rubbing.
How do you figure that? It goes against what everyone else says about level kits. Adjustable track bar, offset bushings, or a modified/lengthened stock track bar is the only way to re-center the axle andget rid of the rubbing..

Because I've been around suspension for a while and you get to figure certain issues out. Rubbing is all in the wheel backspacing. I can get techinical and also throw in how a suspension cycles and works. You also run the risk of rubbing on the back of the front fender well when you raise the front end when jumping up to 35" tires or biggerw/ wrong wheel backspacing/width and lift/suspension size. Then you need longer control arms to move the axle center from back to front. When you go w/ bigger tires then your rear of your truck can become an issue also. You can rub your rear fender in the front offroading under flexing/articulation.

If you still don't take my word. Then contact Keg from KORE, Don from Thuren Fabrication, Baja Mike from Carli Suspension (they are the experts). They willtell you an adjustable trac bar will not help rubbing issues. Either have to go to a bigger size lift w/ said size wheel/tire comboor get the correct backspacing for that particular suspension/lift.

Getting a adjustable trac bar will center your axles from side to side, but the main reason is to elimate bump steer and tighter steering feeling, especially around turns. It makes hitting an event in the road more pleasant.

I don't know who everyone else is w/ goingw/ the trac bar fixing the rubbing issues. Maybe just on this site.[sm=scared09.gif]

I think he is saying a trac bar because of what my one tire is rubbing against!!! I would agree backspacing is the issue if BOTH tires were rubbing, but they are not!!!!

If you look at both of your upper control arms. You will have rub marks where the tire is rubbing. The passenger side is worse than the driverside. You will center your axle w/ the adjustable trac bar pulling in the axle and your driver side is going to be a little more noticable w/ the right side still rubbing.

All 35" tires width are different. Toyo's are the widest while BFG A/T's are a little more narrower (may get by w/o rubbing), but BFG has contribute to the death wobble because the sidewall is weak and wear quick w/ our heavy frontends.

Don't get me wrong. I would get the trac bar if you have the coin. Your steering will be better (always recommended w/ a suspension system, but not necessary).

Only way to stop rubbing on control arms or the back rear of your front fender well is getting the appropiate backspacing/width wheel and tire size w/ said suspension/lift.

Prerunner, for an example. If you changed your stock wheels out w/ H2 Wheels (5.5" BS). You will have NO rubbing issues w/ the stock trac bar on your truck.

I have a local place giving me a price for a new trac bar, there gonna be installing my gauges so they may give me a little dixcount
If that doesn't solve the problem, then i'll start looking into new rims!!! I kinda like the way she looks right now, so i'm hoping i dun need new rims

Looking at your sig, it looks like most of your warranty is already void!!! From what I have read, the Smarty does not leave a footprint on your computer and can be returned to stock prior to a dealer visit.
