Default to delete or not to delete

i am inheriting a 96 dodge 3500. of course it has the 12v, nv4500, extended cab, 4x4 and last of all dually. i am stuck on the choise of deleting the dually. it would alow me to use larger tires. it would save money because i dont have to buy 6 tires. plus it is easyer to drive around town.

on the other hand i can keep the dually and spend my money on some injectors, cam plate, turbo. etc.

i am open to any opinion

Okay, I love a dually.......just because.

If I could even remotely, for one single second, maybeeven half a second, justify my need for one, I'da bought one.

Heck, keep the truck, work it and use the 2001 to play with.

You canhave 10 trucks pull up in front of a place, when one of them that is a dually that pulls up, everyone thinks, "Okay, now some work is gonna get done."

Just my little .02 worth.

keep the duallys, and get two of them fat DOT drag radials for the rear. 370 injectors, big turbo, and play with the P7100 pump enough to light those bad boys up will get the attention of anyone.

I tell ya what, I'll load it up when I get back from Sun Coast and we'll meet up and see how much rubber we can recycle into that stuff they put on the playgrounds.

That brings up a good point. Where is that dyno shop that you guys went to when I was leaving last year? I need to find out what I lay down with this thing once I get the tranny in.

So your worried that every 60k miles you'll have to spend another $400 on tires ($0.00667 more per mile). Plus if ya really are worried about it, toss some 19.5's on there and get some OTR truck tires that'll last you 150k miles. Keep the training wheels.

The only thing those extra 2 tires are good for is hauling more weight. If you use it as a daily driver you are going to find out real fast that it is hard to park and impossible to use in a lot of drive thrus, etc.
