mine has a brass stud in the metal line for the wastegate. i have found that it is hard to put the wastegate back on the turbo once you take it off to mod it. it is also hard to get it to seal all the way when they use a little o ring. i actually think that mine might be leaking again! i don't know that you could cut the metal line and install a rubber one on an auto. i guess i would have to look at one on a standard to see how they are put together.
