I've got a 2006 QC CTD 5.9 auto and would love to have the 6 speed auto as well. From what I've read the Cummins controller would prevent us from making the swap. Looks like the best way to do it would be to trade it for a new 2008/2009 6.7 / 6 speed auto.

I asked about it while I was at Sun Coast and because of the the TIPCM (Totally Intergrated Powertrain Control Module) it's not available....yet.

Besides, the new six speed is quite a bit longer than the 48. You'd have to move the t-case, get new d-shafts, and still need to get the computer to work with it.
