Wife just hit my truck!
I parked a little too close to the center of the driveway and she was backing out of the garage... it doesn't look like it scratched or dented anything, but her mirror drug down the side and left a nasty black "skid" mark. Anyone knowa safe wayto get that off?
You gonna call the, ahem, cops???

Sorry, couldn't resist....
Try some Meguire's Scratch X (Orange tube) or Scratch out (Yellow bottle)
You may be able to get it out by hand, if not try using it with a rotary buffer. Not an orbital, a rotary......you actually need to heat it up a bit to get it.
If it's just the black from her mirror, you should be able to get it out.

as for the detailing issue....if it is just a rub mark you should be able to buff it out. Might be time for a clay bar treatment.
