My wife and I both thank you for your recognition.. We are both in..
It means alot, really. We enjoy what we do.
If I was in the AF, I would probably enjoy it too. The Air Force has it made. You are lucky you chose the branch you did. Yall get "substandard living allowance" for living in ARmy Barracks. WTF is that? Have you seen some of the barracks the army makes their single soldiers live in? There are many many barracks buildings that were condemned here at Fort Hood because of mold, and our "professional" leadership opened up the doors and had our guys living in those when we returned from Iraq. Has anyone seen the YouTube video from Bragg of the 82nd barracks? There is no excuse for this. After this video was released, Officials from III Core at Fort hood did an immediate inspection of all barracks, which happened to be on an early saturday morning. Did not knock, just barged in. Lots of respect there. That shows how the Army thinks of their soldiers; no consideration, just barge right in. Sorry to rant about this guys, but the U.S. ARMY, PISSED ME OFF! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46vYZFU1Dew
As a retired E-7 of 21 years service in the US Army I thank you for standing by these brave men and women. your better than my generation of the sixties
