Beer and computers are a bad mix, that is what started my little rant last night.

"I don't care what someone in 3rd Gen thinks"

"The reason why we don't post in the "Off Topic" is because we are better than everyone else".

REALLY NICE!!!

I had no idea that when I stopped fishing bass tours and sold my diesel truck over ten years ago that I instantly became a lesser person! At least I did in some of your twisted, egotistical minds!

When I went shopping for a truck in '98and again in '04I wanted another diesel. Instead I purchased Dodge 1500 4x4's because I couldn't justify the cost difference for a truck that would do almost no towing and was only to be driven about 6-8k miles a year. I had no idea those decisions would bring me down so far in the minds of other people!

I have had very pleasurable interactions with many CTD owners on this and other forums and as a whole, I'm sure most of you are very decent people. I have no opinion on whetheryou should or should not have your own OT section or be permitted to post OT topics within the Cummins section.

As per what I've been instructed, I've been watching the sections I moderate over more carefully for OT posts and move them accordingly. I do so simply because I was asked to. When I was asked to be a moderator I fully understood what that entailed.

I am, however, appalled by some of the comments some of you are making about the other people who choose to use this forum who, for various reasons, do not own a CTD. You do so with a blind bigotry without so much as having ANY interactions with them or personally knowing them!
I think it's high time a couple of you people take a long hard look in the mirror!!!

I do apreciate the wonders of the ADMIN and moderators to roam anonymously and freely "right the wrongs". have you ever paid attention to the name calling and threats in the O T section by the "locals" down there?? months ago I was tryin to start a decent general discussion on immigration, and politics to only get major flack and name calling. I do request that the ADMINS patrol the OT section and keep an eye "open" for people that get nasty beyond reason there as well. like you did here in the CTD area.
Kevin, if you should see that again, please contact myself directly.....PM or Email...and I'll address it asap. I've had several other members do the same for similar reasons, and I always try to handle these as best and as fast as I can. By notifying me or even another mod, you are insuring that these idiot comments dont continue. I'm generally online 18 hours a day, between my job and my hobbies (mostly computer gaming/photoshop).

First, I have read most (tried to read them all, just couldn't) posts that deal with this OT deal. The last time I tried to get on this site it was down for emergency service. I assume the OT overhaul was the reason? Trying to play catchup as I haven't been able to spend much time here in the last month (brother passed away). Didn't realize this was a big problem, must have missed something. I do commend Devils Reject for hanging around and taking the beating (mentioned this in another post). At least he is providing a target to vent to. I don't like the change myself, but "There house, there rules".
Thanks Ken, I have always tried to let everyone speak their peace, even when I disagreed with it. I'm truly sorry to hear about your brother, its hard losing a loved one.

I think the Moderators an Administrators should be assigned to certain sections alone, the sections to which they belong in judging by what vehicle they drive.
Ironically enough, most of our moderators are assigned to sections that they themselves own a vehicle in. Its the best policy, and its the way I generally recruit mods. Think about it, Sharx, Parts/Service, Drew, Steve, all these guys are Ram guys... and all of em are in the Ram section. Steve's a long time member who's been elevated to a Site Mod. I'm a long time member who does alot of behind the scenes stuff and assists with accounts/user problems. I'm also a computer tech, which is why I'm online alot more then some....

Having said that, making nice lil jabs at people to be a sarcastic ******* isnt going to win you cool points....

Look guys, most of what you know isnt going to change.....most the posts will stay where they are....you know virtually all the mods in the Ram section and they are all level headed, decent people. The only things that should be getting moved are stuff that's so far off topic it could be a part of any forum...... if it deals with our members, it should be okay...

If you have problems with something being moved, contact me.... I always try to make myself available to you guys for this very reason. If you dont believe what I say, just ask the mods who are in your section.

Easy there, EVERYONE who is familiar with this section knows that was a JOKE. Maye not the kind you like, but a joke non the less. This is exactly the kind of response we try to avoid by keeping things here where we can take off color humor and laugh about it.

Just so we're clear, I'm not pissed at you for misunderstanding. I just wanted to make it clear.
