And no it doesn't involve kicking out all the illegal aliens.

Post in ot, but in your title say CTD OT, this way itll allow you to scan that section easily. Don't discourage other mbers from posting in the thread. But figure that'll help introduce the ctd guys to the rest of the forum and the other way around.

what do yall think?
I have kept my mouth shut all day watching this unfold. I for one think it sucks. I meanRamitones ideais a good idea if this is the way it has to be but I come to the CTD section and the CTD section only! If I wanted to stroll around the site all day I would but I don't and I don't want to. I don't have to visit other parts of the site just because I am a forum member. But now I am forced to view two tabs and flip back and forth to read post from my friends and fellow CTD owners.I have been here about a year I think and I have only seen ONE post in the CTD section that became a problem. Unfortunately, I was one of the people in that post that caused the problem. If someone post something to share with his or her fellow CTD section member, why should they be forced to go try to find it amongst the other useless threads down there??I know that its the rules but nowhere in the rules does it say that I have to agree with them, only that I agree to abide by them. I think the rule is stupid and it under-minds the whole reason to have moderators in the first place. If you want to make it fair, do it like "Craigslist" does. The community decides what is appropriate and what is not and they can "flag" the post. If the post get a required % of flags, it is automatically deleted. So far it looks like this community (CTD) , would like to govern their own topics and post. By fixing a problem in one area of the site, you are breaking things in all the rest of the sections.Devils Reject, I mean no disrespect but I do have an opinion and am free to voice it. I think the act of enforcing a rule that has not been enforced since I have been a member, is even more childish that the acts that caused the rule to be enforced in the first place. Don't let a moderators/s lack of ability to control a section cause the whole site to suffer.

Unfortunately Buzzy, that rule does get enforced on this site quite a bit, only that the CTD group had been fairly good about not letting it happen kept you from seeing more of it..... Again, most of you never leave the CTD site....not even to list parts for sale.... so you wouldnt ever know how other sections are....

The moderators do quite a damn good job in the Ram sections, however, its the members themselves that are the problem in this situation. It's not our job to babysit people 24/7, post by post.

I like the suggestion you made, and there is a way to do just that... click the report flag next to any post and it'll send a PM to a moderator.

I also appreciate that you did voice your opinion and that you kept it cordial. This is why so often things go wrong because people cant remain this way. If anything, I'm definitely the guy you want to discuss this with because I'm probably the most willing to listen and debate with.

Since I only ever come to the Cummins section of the site. I think it is fantastic what the admin is doing. Please remove every post that is not 100 percent pertaining to the subject at hand CTD's.
Then it wont take me so long to scan through the messages for something worth reading. I can be in and outta the site in a couple seconds and wont be using up your bandwidth, and clicking on the advertisers links once in a while when I see something that interests me. Then before long, I will find better places to spend my time and I wont use any of your bandwidth and everyone will be happier.

Actually I just thought a quick note to report this meesage as OT and I think it should be moved to that section
[/sarcasm]

I personally enjoy posting in the Cummins section as I feel we have a sort of bond, I have met up with a few members merelyu because I met them online and even hang out with a couple of them. If this was to be all technical ctd stuff I would never have met Tobin, Marc, Kevin, or Aaron. When my son was going through surgery I felt comfortable talking about it here as oppose to off topic as I feel I somewhat know the people here. We are a close group and our 911 can prove it. I feel as long as the post are not offending anyone we should be allowed to have them here. Of course Whatever is decided will be decided and governed.

I like the idea of putting CTD in the title of the OT thread. Kinda our way of "sticking it to the man"....wait a minute, the admin. agrees. Ain't know fun stickin' it to the man if the man is on our side....As for this whole OT thing, I read them all and right, wrong, or indifferent, I commend Devils Reject for answering all the posts and being available to beat on. He could easily made the announcement and walked away. Your catching the flak cause your the only available target. I don't agree with the decision, but do realize its a rule and I will have to abide by it. Maybe you can send our opinions and concerns up the ladder to the "Big Guy" for us and see what happens.

We can always go post on topic in off topic and let them move it the other way
