Default Questions about tires?

As most of you know, I recently got pro comp ext ats put on the truck. They are 305/65/17 E rated. I was looking at the sidewalls and there are indentions in the sidewalls. Kinda like a ripple. Is this normal for a tire this size or do I have a problem with them. Thanks

Got any pictures? Are you talking about a crinkled wall, like on a drag slick? What psi are you running at?

Yes like a crinkle in a drag slick, I am running 60psi and the tires say 65 max cold. I read on tire rack website that this is normal for a tire this size and just wanted a second opinion from here. Thanks

Mine do the same thing. Just in the front though. I think it is the weight of the engine. I was porried about it too at first, but I havent had any problems so I swept it under the rug.

those ripples are normal for all tires big or small. one of the tires on my yoda (205 60 15's) has it, but none of the other three do.

I think it has something to do with the manufactureing of the tires. the yokohama 315's on beasty do not have those ripples.
