rico,
Do us a favor and fill in your signature (n your profile) with some info on your truck so we all know what you are driving. Helps answer a few questions when folks look.
Was it doing the shimy BEFORE that alignment? If not, when they aligned it, they may not have put ENOUGH caster in. Too little caster and it's like a shopping cart. You know, where they front wheel wobbles all over the place.
Like Jake said too, the TRE's may be going or loose.....the wheel bearings could need to be replaced......the ball joints could be going.
This are all pretty common problems.
Jack a front tire off the ground. Grab it at the top and bottom and pull back and forth. Also, grab it on the sides and pull back and forth. Top to bottom movement ONLY is gonna be ball joints, more than likely. If it has side to side ONLY, then more than likely it's TRE's. If it moves in all directions, then wheel bearings are probably the cause.
If there is NO movement or VERY MINIMAL, then I'd say the caster is causing it.
That's not a perfect test, but it helps narrow things down so you can explain it to a mechanic if it comes to that.
Good luck.
