My pops just did a ride that logged him over 6k ~ but that was on a cruiser. There is NOOOO way my is gonna try 3k on my 883

 

My sister and her ex husband rode from Jersey to Cali on their Dresser. Then they rented a truck and rode back on 6 wheels.

 

Watch that camping stuff Mayfair, it'll get mighty habit forming! Nothing like a cool evening breeze, a campfire, and a pile of brewski's. Got thirteen camp days in this year. Falling way behind... As for Iron Butt, man I haven't heard about them in a long time. I used to put three tanks of gas a day into my '87 883 hugger. At 260lbs that was a long sore day of riding on a sporty. Now if I can just get my softail back together....
