Anyone have a Smarty or TST hookup?
but serial numbers go to where they are distributed. If they are sold to say 4 wheel parts- how would they know if the store put them on ebay? Everytime I buy something off ebay, the receipt has the store/dealer name on it not ebay. You can say you ordered it from that store and get by the ebay thing right? Or am I missing something? I don't know but I could use this info in the future- especially when the smarty s67 comes out one of these years.
you may be able to get away with it, but if MADS ever finds out that you got it from ebay, they prob. would not honor any warranty work if the software malfunctions since they do not condone the ebay thing. if they find out which dealer is doing it, they may revoke any offerings of warranty work to any serial number they sold. in my opinion, not worth it for something thats not that cheap. i'm all for a good deal and have become quite the customer of ebay, but there are just some risks that arent worth it.
Smarty has fantastic customer service, I bought my jr. from a guy at DTR for around $400 and when Bob asked for the serial number there was no problems. I personally would not buy from ebay, not worth it.
The smarty and edge stack very well. We had us one hell of a night we stacked them on Sharky's truck. I might be trying to get back down there sometime soon so if I do we will be putting it on again. But this time it will be during the day so I can get some bad *** pics and videos.
Don't be afraid of the Smarty / Edge combo, it works great.
I'm running it 24 / 7 and it's an awesome combo.
Also, if you run the Revo software, you can control the timing that the Smarty adds, so you CAN run your Smarty on both the odd and even settings.
The timing settings are default (based on the CATCHER's default level), stock (slightly increased timing), Hughes (increased, but not as much as stock injectors) and economy (most timing increase).
Right now, I'm running the Smarty set to run the Stock (slightly increased timing) AND using the Edge's timing as well.
There is no excessive knocking or anything. It runs great.
So far..........mileage looks VERY promising. This is the first tank I've run it on this setup, but so far I'm significantly higher than before with the Smarty on 2 and the Edge on 1.
Just a little bit of tweaking with the Smarty is showing nice gains all around.
I'm got the rail pressure set to stock and the TQ Mgmnt is turn off completely. Great throttle response, no "run away" pedal, etc.
I'll let you know when I get done with the hand calcs on this tank.
