Default DIY - Navigation

So I am going to be installing my nav/dvd unit. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a DIY of my stereo install? If there is enough interest I would be willing to spend the time doing it. Thanks.

I would LOVE to know how to get the center stack off. Mine is grey and silver, and with glare really effecting me (I have glaucoma, get migraines, loss of vision, etc.), I was going to switch it out to the flat black one.

ADIY would be great. I am thinking about installing an in-dash nav system;possibly a Pioneer AVIC-N4.

YES, I think everyone could benefit from DIY's. The more the merrier. If you can make just one persons life easier by doing it, then it's all worth it.

Go for it !!

Thanks !!

I'll see what I can do. Mike, it should just pop off. You might need a panel puller to get it started or carefully do it with a screwdriver but it just pops off. Its easier to get started on the bottom I think than on the top. The entire panel around the cig lighter and power outlet pop. I'll take some pics if I can this weekend as I am going to try to tear it apart then.

See, I tried that but felt 2 screws underneath the map pocket and above the pulldown cup holders. I can give it a good pull but dont wanna break the thing. I am not exactly weak ya know....

Look forward to seeing the pics!

Aren't there two screws in the glove box that hold it on from the side?

If you pulled the two screws out above the cup holders then all you have to do is pull. I used a flathead screwdriver and started from the top, once you get one corner popped out it comes out easy. It is on there tight. Then four screws around the radio and unplug all the harnesses.
