Default Changed my eeeerl. (Oil)

I got my Amsoil in today. So I changed the oil on my truck. (Just so this thread doesnt get moved I should mention my truck is a 6.7 CTD.) Was a big mistake. For those of you who are in my neck of the woods or within 300 miles of me, you know that today was very windy. Sustained winds of 15-20 MPH, with gusts up to 40 MPH. Well, as soon as I pulled the plug out of the oil pan, HUGE WIND GUST!!! I was trying to take an oil sample as well, and so both my arms were covered in eeerl, about 1/4 quart on the ground, all over the white t shirt I was wearing. (Good thing I was grubbin it up today with a hanes, didnt ruin a good shirt.) Also, I my oil bucket filled up within 1 seconds, I didnt realize how much 12 quarts was. Good thing I thought of this before hand and grabbed a small trash can just in case.

I got a picture, I will post it tomorrow. So I dont wanna see that [sm=ttiwwp.gif]crap. I am covered in eeerl, and I am tired and thirsty. So later.

lol you should try to drain a cat c15 on a windy day. Plug is 1" thread and it holds 54 quarts.

All in all, sounds like you had a fun day.[sm=headbang.gif]

Mad enough to give away your lift kit? Common, this would have never happened with a factory ride height Ram. I'll pay for shipping

Dude, pay the $2.50 and go to the Auto Craft Center.

Put 'er up on the lift......walk around underneath......check some things out.......don't have to dispose of the oil........talk smack to the little Honda kids trying squeeze .23 HP out from their new intake......

Come on now.....I can squeeze .23 hp out of my weedeater just by pointing my butt in the right direction.

Most military bases have a REALLY nice auto center. Example, the one here on Benning has like 24 bays.....lifts.....tool check out......paint booth......alignment station.....mechanics on duty to help ya out......etc., etc.

It cost like $2.50 or $3 an hour to use a bay with a lift and less than that for a flat.

Can't beat it.

That is where I installed my lift. Sprockets is what the one here is called. I love that place. The one here has I think 26 bays, but on only 2 lifts that have the capacity to lift my truck. I was thinking about going to sprockets to do it, but I didnt need to. My truck is high enough for me to go from front to back with my creeper without hitting anything.

Yeah, thats usually where I do any bigger work at......

Ive done lifts on a few buddies trucks. The best one though was when I owned my '02 Chevy. I was in there and the guy next to me was trying to change his plugs........Im over there dropping a Powerdyne Supercharger on the truck and it took me less time.

Friggin goober couldnt figure out his firing order and had his wires all screwed up.
