Bumper Lights
The scary part - - drilling the whole in the bumper 4 & ½ in hole saw bit into the chrome – measure!! Measure!! And re-measure!!!
Inserted rubber grommet to hold light
See that little brass bit behind the light – yeah it broke so these are not the lights we actually have in
White is the light from the passenger side, red is hot, black is ground. Used 18 gauge wire all the way through the project.
Grounded each light separately to the bumper. Switch is also separately grounded under dash
Tucked loom around frame and secured
Was originally going to tap into fuse for tranny and have tied into Reverse but decided against it. So an on/off switch was all that was needed
For our switch hot in from the lights – hot out to battery – and ground was all that was needed. Check you’re switch for proper configuration
Hot from lights & hot to and from switch through the firewall and connected to battery with an in-line fuse.
With all lights on
Just Reverse Lights
All lights on

I did the same thing on my old truck, except they were mounted to the hitch itself.
I ran a tap from the reverse light power wire to the relay to activate it when th reverse lights came on or with the switch in the cab.
You don't have to tap a tranny wire.

If I can get past the drilling my bumper part, I may have to add this mod.

That looks really nice. It turned out quite well. Good job.
I was just thinking on my way home about the previous post you had awhile ago that had a picture with the lights in the bumper, and I was gonna message you to see if you had finished this as I was awaiting it in antisipation. I wanted to see someone else doing before I did as I was paranoid I would screw up and ruin my bumper.
I have the painted black bumpers on mine. Do you guys think that drilling the hole through it would cause the paint to chip on me?
