Default mpg and power

hey guys, looking to do a few things to my truck, 02 ext cab shorty 4x4. I;ve been looking at intakes and there's so many of them! I was thinkin S&B? anyone hear of these quadzilla milege max chips, they claim 8-12% increase in MPG. also exhaust, wondering about silverline or MBRP? or is it possibly to get the same upgrades as MBRP or silverline by just installing say an AERO muffler or somehtin? basiccaly, im looking for the best upgrades to max the MPG on my truck, and still keepin the power there. My buddy has an 03 with k&n intake and edge plug n play and his overhead consoles saying 25.5MPG avg(canadian truck is it makes a difference).....that would be awesome to get to. this site's aweosme and full of info, thanks alot.

the overhead can say one thing, but the hand calculated will tell the true story.

chips will help with mileage, but thie also depends on your driving habits. the air filter will help get the air in, but realy wont do anything for fuel mileage.

I disagree... it can hurt mileage or help mileage depending on how your truck is setup... my stock airbox used to get me 1.0 mpg better than my AFE, in it's current config however the afe out performs the stock airbox.

I'm gonna have some pics here in a second of my recent mileage test.

Results were NOT as good as I'd hoped.

Drew, I was just pointing out that it can go either way depending on the setup. once the mods are added, then it helps.
