hot brakes

Default hot brakes

changed my rear pads on the weekend bleed them now today i smeal the nice aroma of brakes a burnin.one side was cool the other side was smokin hot what the heel is my calipar shot?

If you just changed pads, there would be no reason to bleed the brakes. One thing to take into consideration is the slide pin. If the caliper is hanging up on the pins it wont return to center, leaving pressure on the out brake pad.

try removing the "slide pins" and greasing them up with high temp grease (don't use same grease you use in ball joints/won't take the heat) this will help the calipars slide back when brake pedal is released.

ya thanks guys thats what it was . itried lubin it its just to worn out it was still pretty stiff soooooooo ijust went ahead and replaced that one too
