I've been saying this for awhile now, but man, people are religious when it comes to oil changes. I'm still trying to figure out why the Dodge service manual says 15k oil changes when everyone else suggests a number much lower.

my personal oil analysis showed my oil did not make it 15k... 10k max. I did do alot of off roading during that test though.

I read that article earlier today, I think it touched on a huge topic of used oil. Think how much used motor oil that could be filtered or re-refined for other purposes.

I've been changing mine at the recommended 7500 mile interval. The 3000 thing is rediculous. I would not go 15K unless I was using analysis to confirm the oil was still good.
