Default Tire size and mileage...

Hey all! Word up to my CTD brutha's! ok... sorry... i try with the hood talk but this redneck can't keep going!

So, my 07 6.7 beauty queen has 35" cheapo tires on it. My question is this:

If my truck has not been adjusted to compensate for the larger tires (i don't think it really has) will my mileage be off also. Because the tires turn a little slower per mile than what the computer really thinks right? so my mileage grows more than what i am really driving... so hand calculating my mileage still doesn't give me proper gas mileage ratings.

Am i making sense or am I as dumb as i look?

With taller tires, your speedometer, (& I thinkodometer as well), will show LESS than what you are really doing. So yes, hand calc. will also be inacurate.

some added info for you... when I went to a 34" tire on my 2000 gasser I was 9.3% off on the speedo... I ended up mulitplying my mileage by 1.093 to get a closer actual mileage number, then used that for calculations. I came up with the 9.3% by driving 125 miles behind my wifes stock truck and finding the difference so it was pretty close.

Correcting the speedo with a programmer like a Smarty would theoretically correct the mileage reading too. Right? Now, does that correct, err.... adjustthe LieOmeter in the overhead also?
