Much like the 60's muscle cars, 5.9L prices will go back up in 25 years

I can tell you they have dropped significantly in my area. Last year if you wanted a diesel youwere going to pay premium price- new or used. My 2001 4x4 with leather, lifted, wheel & tires was $15. Now I can get an 04 for the same price. It's crazy. But when people don't want to spend the $$ at the pump that's what happens.

dieselram- I love that super shortbed!! Pic is hiarious.

I was at wal mart the other day ago and some dude came up to my truck asking me all about it. He was looking for a good used third gen 5.9 and we talkedwith the price of fuel being what it is how it's a used/pickup buyers market these daysamong other things.

Hey Junkey, how do you like your manual hubs? did you ever see a noticeable difference in mileage? I'd still like to get a set if they ever come out with a stubby set for the '04.5 & up...

Steve, I had factory locking hubs on both my Ferds ('04 & '99) I used to lock them for a couple hundred miles each month to keep the drive line lube oil and grease distributed. I did not notice a difference in economy locked or unlocked.

i used to have them years back on a chevy but never did care about mileage. I was curious to see if any converts saw a bump. I did run into 1 guy who mentioned he saw about 1 mpg...
