Default long crank times

I have an 03 ram 2500 cummins with 120,000 mi. always ran great but recently has experienced crank times getting longer, mostly after warm shut down and restart. When cold, cranks longer but not as long as when engine is warm. Anyone else have or had same problem, if so any ideas or solutions would be appreciated.

Had the same problem on my 06 2500. I had the dealership reflash my ECM. Fixed the problem and hasn't happened since. Maybe they can do the same for yours.

I also had an 03 ram 2500 and also had a very long crank time. Injectors went out and a bearing on the starter. The 03's however did have a tendency to crank longer than any other years.

It was a TSB on my truck so they fixed it free of charge. It's just another one of those little flaws that some trucks get but they can usually fix it by adjusting the computer on the truck. No real explantaion though. I was always embarrassed before I got it fixed because when my truck was warm it would crank a long time like I was driving a POS.
