Default Axle Ratio for 2008 Dodge 3500 4.1 OR 3.73

Does anyone know the approx gas mileage difference (not towing) between 4.1 and the 3.73. This is for a 2008 Dodge 3500 SRW with the 6.7 cummings. We will be using the truck much more without a trailer and am trying to decide if the 4.1 makes sense. Thanks for the reply

I doubt it. Running higher gears is gonna make the rpm's higher which in turn will likely cause worse mileage. I can say about the 6 speed trans but, with the 4 speed 3:73 are prefect IMO.

I agree, no need for 4.10 gears unless you tow very heavy (over 12000lbs).
