In this video before the truck even takes off, Does he just hold the gaspedalto the floor to get the smoke rolling and the turbo? Just curious.
I was also curious to what my shift points should be when piddling around and racing cars/trucks around here thanks alot guys

he most likely has a high stall converter which allows for him to bring rpm's up higher before the trans engages. he also holds the brake to keep it staged. then when the green goes he smashs teh pedal and lets off the brake.

I see. Thanks for the response Ben D. I just thought it was really cool, Could i do that at stop lights and such when playing around with other diesels. Or would i be risking hurting the truck? Thanks again, btw i have a Manual tranny.

trans brake
it hold the tranny between 1st and reverse ( i think) so you can get the turbo spooled up, then release and haul ***. if he's set up from racing, i'd say that's what he's using
