Default ignition problems

hey fellers kinda new to the whole fourm thing but i gotta question for all you cummins guru's. When i turn my truck on there is about a 15 sec delay between me turning the key and my wait to start light coming on. all i can figure is it's something to do with the ignigion. If anyone has any tips or ideas trouble shooting let me know

You really shouldn't be getting the wait to start lamp unless it is under 62 degrees. It is just to allow the heater grid time to warm up the intake.

What year truck? What mod's do you have on the truck? Any programmer?

it's a 99 nothing to trick the ecu does it even when it's warm outside. I shure as hell don't feel like taking it down to the dealer and paying who knows how much.
