Question Electrical Ghost

I have been noticing that my brake lights will come on for no reason when the truck is not been run. Sometimes they will stay on for a long time, and sometimes will cycle at some random rate. I have used they unlock/lock cycle and this does not always work to stop it. When I start the truck, it stops the lights turning on for a few hours up to a day.
Any ideas? Really frustrating.

since you're under warranty, the best thing would be to have the dealer put it on a scanner. You could have a problem TIPM. Sometimes they also have a flash for the computer that can fix things like that. Our trucks are known for having mysterious anomalies that go away on their own too.

Triton is right. Have the dealer hook up the STAR scan and see if there are any codes in the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). Also make sure it has the latest software....

Well it turned out to be the brake switch, and it had burned out the two taillights in the process.
