Default turbo back exhaust

All,

I want a turbo back exhaust that eliminates the cat. I see there are a lot of manufacturers out there selling kits, and I want the most bang for my buck. It looks like most of them are 5" mandrel bent tubing. I don't need the stainless exhaust or the fancy tips. I want to spend as little as possible and corrosion isn't an issue where I live.
What systems and how much did you guys spend?

considering, you could possibly get half a million miles or more out of your truck.... IMO, SS is the only way to go.

Most all the exhausts out there will suit your needs. 5" isn't necessary at all though. You'll have to buy a cat-back exhaust system and also purchase a cat delete pipe to eliminate the cat.

I think you'll find the systems average in the $500 range.

your best bet would be to check ebay. There are 4 and 5 inch kits for sale in the $300 range and they are turbo back and can either be ordered with a muffler or without. If you dont have any mods to your truck then you can go with the 4 inch but a 5 inch has a better sound imho, it all depends on what you like and want to spend

Agree with Lobes1985. I bought my kit on Ebay from Full Spectrum Performance. It's turbo-back 5" with no cat but the kit comes with 5" to 4" reducers in case you want to reinstall your cat. They sell a nice system, aluminized pipe with all hangers and clamps with or without muffler. Check out this item number: 180235558684. They have the systems with no muffler too. Great sellers and the system fits perfectly, all bolt in, no cutting fighting or cussing to get it installed. Cost is about $345 shipped. Sounds good, I've had compliments from Duramax owners.
I forgot, I forked out about $45 extra and bought a total of 5 band clamps, worth the extra$. Makes the install much easier and is totally removable. Those clamps don't crush the pipe.

just do what I did. Buy aluminumized cat and muffler delete pipes. Same effect. About $120 for the pipes, about $80 for the install. A little louder without the muffler, but its sounds bad ***.
