Default Thinking of joining the Ram family!

Hey guys, just got in the market for a new 2500 QC! Couple of questions for you fellas.

1. What kind of actual gas mileage can I expect when Im running with no trailer? Actual feedback is soo much better than EPA ratings.

2. Compared to the 5.9 how is this 6.7 holding up mechanically? Any major problems you've heard of?

3. Bluetech, what does this mean to me?

4. What kind of warranty is standard on the engine and tranny, since Dodge does not offer the Lifetime on diesels?

I just bought a new 6.7 MC 4x4.

1. First fill up included 300 miles of 80mph, 16.3 mpg.

2. Don't know, only have 700 miles so far.

3. Ultra Low Sulfure Diesel only. Cleanest Diesel tech to date.

4. Cummins 5yr/100K, Tranny 3yr/36K. Was dissappointed and scared about the transmission warranty.

Midget, go to www.dieselram.com and ask the same question. This site is a good dodge site, don't get me wront, but the guys over there specialize in the cummins, lots of cummins mechanics.

I have towed 20 to 26k for almost 500k with my Dodge's and have only spent 200 bucks out of pocket on repairs, It is all in how you drive it. And who you let service it. lata!!

Put down the pipe my friend, and do your OWN homework !! Open ANY diesel magazine, and you'll quickly discover that the Dodge's dominate the diesel world. Nothing beats a Cummins !!

The complaints I've read about the 6.7 are fuel mileage, turbo issues, and emissions issues. Some have had no problems at all. ALL of the new trucks from ALL of the brands have their issues.

I am a former Ford owner, and even though I have had some issues with my current truck, they were no where near the issues I had with my last '04 Ford truck. The issues I have had with this truck were fixed under warranty in a reasonable amount of time and with out any deductibles. I currently have 75K miles on her.
