Default baffles

so i want to remove the baffles in my 07 5.9 and the only thing i see is a white plastic 90 with fins at the bottom of hose. is this there for strength at the bend in the hose or is it ok to remove? thx,,,,

kind of cept its white and shaped 90 degrees. im thinking its for strength. where did the piece you holding come from?

His is the same, just on an older truck. I took it off mine out and there are no stability problems.

I took out the crosshair baffle, but left in the white 90 degree thing. I figure that helps the air flow with a little less turbulance... not that it really matters since it still has to go thru the turbo, intercooler, and intake before it sees the cylinders.
