Default 285/70R/17 on 17x7.5 rims

I know this is not recommended by tire dealers, but can I do it?

Yes you can and it won't be a problem at all. My old truck had 285's mounted on 7" wheels perfectly, then I switched to 10" wheels with the same tire and they still fit! I wouldn't recommend that wide of a wheel with it though. But yes, 285's will go perfect on that wheel.

Can you post a pic of the 35"s on stock rims. Like to see how they look thinking of doing similar. TY

Are you guys running 7.5 width rims? I think that recently, 8" rims was the norm. 0.5" does make a big difference in rim width and tire ballooning.

Ran 35x12.50 on my 04 also without a problem. My problem was that I couldn't keep the mud from behind the rim of them. Always threw off the balancing. Finally got some teflons. Does anyone want some stock rims???
