Default having oil problems with older 1993

i've got a 1993 dodge cummins that resently developed a bad front main seal leak or timing gear cover leak. i've tried to find an online site that would give me the shop manual instructions of replacing the seal but i haven't found one yet. i just want to know if this is something i want to do myself or take it to a shop. do you know of any web sites that i might access this information . any help would be appreciated

have you checked plate cover bolts for any loose ones? has happened to a number of owners, besides that try genosgarage.com $95.00 for a service manual or cheaper and alot less informative haynes manual for arond $20.00. service manual would be best value, as it would cover bumper to bumper and be year specific.
