I have a triple dog on my truck and...well my trans didnt last to long. Had it rebuilt with a few upgrades. low stall billet converter with a heavy duty clutch, progressive shift kit and valve bodies. Upgrades cost me $1500. Trans is holding up very nicely and im not easy on it. Like the guys said....at the very LEAST an upgraded convertor. These tranny's run such high pressures, and get hot...the convertor ballons and looses it clamping force. With a billet...you dont have to much worry about that.

 

I have 360hp and 706 tq @ the rear wheels with 64000 miles on her and no problems on stock trans

 

I have an 01 cummins that I put the EDGE juice with attitude on with the stock tranny, I put it on last December and I took it off in February because I didn't have the money for the TC and VB at that point, my tranny was slipping so bad it would redline the tach. I don't recomend it, I said oh I will just take it easy but you will leave it on level 5 and not take it easy and pay for it literally.
