Question temp sensor

My overhead console temp gauge has stopped working. I am fairly confident that it is the sensor. I would like to change it myself if I am able to do so, but I need some help in locating it. I have a 99 Cummings 3500 Quad cab. Can anyone get me started in the right direction in locating the sensor. And any suggestions in changing it out. TIA

I am pretty sure the sensor is located on the passenger side of the grill. Sorry, but I can't find a diagram to help you out a little more.

Temp sensor on the third gen's is on the drivers side headlight mount. Bottom left corner when looking at it from the front. You could check there.
