Default Possible clutch problem

In my process of trying to pass someone I notice my RPM's moved up about 500 RPM's but the speed0meter didn't . 2005 3/4 ton diesel 4x4 57,000 miles, never drove hard only pulled a trailer about 500 miles out of the 57,000. Can this be. The warrany is still in place but the dealer said that the clutch is not adjustable and the clutch and pressure plate are one unit and NOT covered by the drive train warranty. Don't get any better than that, 57,000 miles clutch is out. Any thoughts here. thanks for looking.
