They are not availabe anymore at NAPA you must have been quoted a price for the spicer ball joints which are 109. Autoparts warehouse has them uppers are 58 and lowers are 82 which is more than I paid but was a good 9 months ago. On the web page above the part #'s are uppers MOK80026, and lowers MOK8607T. There are ones out there to adjust either the castor which are more expensive but did not hear of anyone using them at least stock but might use them on lifted trucks.

Thanks for posting the pics... I guess that makes sense... they suck and dont last long.

Hutch, thanks for the p/n's. I'll see if I can dig those up on line somewhere.

Wink Prices

I ran out of time before I got a reply about the MOOG ball joints but I got mine at NAPA for $88 a piece, but I found the MOOG ball joints on AutoPartsDepot for $52 a piece upper and lower. As a few people said the Press from Advance Auto was the right one but it didn't have the right cup to press the lower ones out so I had to make a cup out of a piece of steel tubing with the right taper on it. I definitely recommend putting your new ball joints on Dry Ice over night they press in a lot easier. I also found a huge time saving trick to get the hubs and half shafts out by using the hydraulic pressure from the power steering.

I had to post this in here... I am An ASE certified heavy duty mechanic... I bought an 06 3500 in May of 08 with 42000 on it... I brought it to my shop and went through the whole thing(front end, trans, driveshaft u joints, etc...) Took it back to the dealer and said the front end was F&^$#ed... The general manager told me " You are not a certified Chrysler mechanic so we will look at your truck and replace what we feel is necessary." So a couple of days later my truck was done I got right to my lift @ the house and found there was ball joint play in the front end.... went right back to the dealership asked what was rplaced... left front ball joints and right hub assy.... I said well both left and right ball joints have play... There answer came right from chrylser ( I have a print out in my truck @ all times in case the DOT police pull me over) There is an allowable play of 5 MM in the lower and upper ball joints..... Just thought everyone would get a laugh @ that

I'm expecting to keep my truck for many years so it may be a good investment...

I have a 2001 1500 Ram 4 wheel drive that needs the upper ball joints replaced. Are these ball joints pressed in? From the pictures I've it appears that way. Also, wouldn't it wise to replace the lower ball joints at the same time? The truck has 90,000 miles on it.

Next time I do ball joints I will be putting these on my truck or something very similar, I've had to replace my ball joints after every season of plowing so far, and if carli is telling the truth about how good there product is I'm hoping to get atleast 2 years out of them to make it worth the upgrade

I am having an issue w/my 06. Found out that is why my steering does not return to center after making a corner. They are TIGHT. So with that I am biting the bullet and having a local shop replace them for $700 bucks. After reading all of the forums on this subject I don't want to deal with it. The truck does have 132K miles and it appears they are the originals. Is that possible?
