Default What's with fords

What's up with the new Ford's. I was driving home from work Thursday. There were 9 dead Fords along the road in 72 miles. All were 250 and 350 diesels. It was -20 degrees out. My Dodge was just fine.

Ford has not had a good diesel engine since the 7.3, well not known for winning the h/p and torque wars, the 7.3 is more solid than the 6.0, the 2nd gen 6.0 and the 6.4 twin turbo.

Ford has ugly written all over it, my turds look better than a new Ford and stink just as bad ...

See that blue oval in the grill?? THATS the problem.

Any Ford diesel isnt worth much to me; 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, 6.9/7.3IDI doesnt matter. I think their all crap. Ive personally seen more 7.3s with problems than 6.0s. The 6.4 looks to be the best out of all of them, on account of its Common Rail...but its still an International V8 in a junk Ford

Cool F>o>r>d>

Just think of what ford stands for, that says it all
Ford sucks, plain & simple. Besides the fact that they are just down right ugly!

I had a 2003 F250 4x4 with the "SIC"L (6.0). At 54000 miles the heads warped due to head bolts stretching. That was after many reflashes for other issues. The only good thing about that truck was the tranny. I now have a 04 2500 Ram 4x4 with the Big "C" under the hood.
My wife says I look like smiling "Bob", the one on tv now. I just got this truck and I am rattlin again, but this time with the best diesel of them all.

99.9% of all Fords sold are still on the roads, the other .1% actually made it home hehe

It is the fact that they do not recirculate their fuel and heat it so it doesnt gel in super cold temps. We have 3 6.0's at work, and last week when it was -15 they quit running, one by one, after running fine for 6-8 hours. We put them inside the shop for the weekend, and they all started again come Monday. Have to keep dumping diesel 911 in them. They are in the shop literally every other week for repairs, very unreliable...fuel pumps, injectors, etc etc etc...

Not a problem at all with any of our Cummins trucks.

now if Dodge would put manual hubs up front, we'd have the best of all worlds...

hello I have a question why does it take 20min on the road to get hot air out the vents, and only 5-8min siting to cool off. i even let the truck idle for 30min and still not be in operating range. if i stop on the way home to go in the store for 5-10min i lose around 80deg i've even tried cardboard in front of the rad, is there some way of geting the truck to heat up quicker. i had a 99 f350 and never had this problem
