Default Smarty

I ordered a smarty JR and when I tried to insall it I get error message
UNKNOWN SOFTWARE.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
I just had my truck in the shop this past week, and the dealer re-flashed my computer with an updated program from Dodge

Update your smarty.

The flash is a more current version than is on your Smarty and won't let it upload.

Just go to MADS website and update to the latest version and you should be all set.

He would need to have the Smarty that has the POD board to load it.

If it's just a standard Smarty, he can't load the POD software.

Thanks for the advice. I'm having trouble with the download part (I'm not the most computer savy person out there), but I'll give it another try tonight.

this would be true if he had the smarty sr, but he has the smarty jr. and if he just recently purchased it, it may already have the PoD loaded. if not its a free download same as downloading the updates. Bought mine a ways back downloaded the PoD last week, running sw3 (100hp) tq/tm set on defualt set PoD to 40% gained about 1.5mpg.

bigty, try this pretty good step by step procedure for downloading updates, will be the same procedure for loading up the PoD.

If your still having problems downloading you can send it to Mads and they will ugrade it for you, or go back to vender who sold it to you and they may be able to upgrade it for you.
Good luck and have fun... you'll luv smarty jr and the PoD!

Thanks SpLaT for all your help. Between your tips, and Stefano at MADS I got my smarty updated and installed in my truck.
Thanks again.
