Question Brakes????

Time for new brakes up front. Do the same ones that fit the front fit the back? Recommendations on which ones?

No, the front and rear pads are always different. Personally, I would go with either Hawk Super Duty or Performance Friction Carbon Metallic. You can find them at dieselfiltersonline.com or Genosgarage.com. I really like the Carbon Metallic pads, but I have never tried them on a truck. I have them on my Chrysler 300M, and they are the best brake pads I have ever used! They stop better than stock pads, and are just as quiet.

More important than the pad you choose is making sure you "bed" the pads well after installation. Here is a how-to: http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

Does anyone carry Hawk superduty pads for the front and rear? Any other suggestions from the great powers that be in forum land?
