welcome to df...

go get an alignment done, have the tech put as much caster in it as he can and tell him to forget the factory spec. I think the upper spec is 4.8 or something like that... I run 5.1 & 5.2 IIRC and never have had the DW... even with worn front end parts.

DO THIS FIRST and you wont have an issue.

Please keep me updated on what you learn from the tech. I have had a few different places look at mine and they all told me the samething, Good Luck!!! So, hopefully you have better luck. One thing you might want to try rotating your tires, it helped mine a ton. Still have to watch for bumps around 60 m.p.h. though.

I didn't get a alignment done. Just rotated the tires. I know i need one, i have too much toe in. The outside of my tires are showing a lot of wear quickly. Also i heard that to much toe in will cause it to wobble when you hit a bump because the tires are fighting against eachother to roll straight.

there is a DIY on the toe alignment... it is easy to do. I've done mine a few times after front end work and each time it tracks really straight. the last time was after a control arm swap, I marked the caster adjusters to put it back to where it was and it worked out well.

check the diy thread tacked to the top of this forum if you want to give it a shot.

TSB 22-005-06 will help you to solve this..It involves replacing a steering damper, tie rod outer, and tie rod and outer link...

Run a dual steering stabilizer kit. It fixed the death wobble on my truck.

When I first had mine everyone on another forum told me it was the Track bar so I got a DT trackbar and it didnt work then the shop said it was wheel bearings going out I couldnt really put my finger on that one so I replaced both left and right hubs and finally after all this a friend said that I needed to run a dual stabilizer rather than single running 42's on my truck and it fixed it when I did. Now my shocks are screwed up so the truck still rides like crap. Oh well. My $.02.

sorry to tell you this but it was probably your tires.

if your steering is good, steering shocks arent needed.

you still have DW and will have it again whenthe steering shocks blow a seal or something.
