Question trans issue

Don't know much about transmission any help would be appreciated.
I went in to get the transmission fluid changed. When the pulled the pan, ouch about 5" of a snap ring was connected to the magnet.
How much is left holding my trans together?
Anyone have similar issue?
Now looking for a rebuilt trans, I'm in the Nebraska anyone know of a good transmission shop?
I got a quote from certified $3500 for stock rebuild and installed with 5 year 75K warranty?

Thanks

Is this a shop you have used before and trust? Did you notice any problems before you went in? The price on the rebuild is not bad. If you tow alot or have performance parts or plan to install performance parts you may want to go with a performance rebuild or a full billet trans.

First time at this shop, but has a good reputation around town. It's was hard to pull out of part and twice when I parked in my driveway (about 15 deg incline) when it was icy I found it on the other side of the street? It stay just fine when the driveway isn't icy. The trans shifts just fine and no sounds coming from it.
I don't pull anything, its a daily driver.
Thanks for the input.

I have seen this ring break many times. Sometimes the trans just keeps going without it and sometimes the ring lodges in the gears and locks up the trans....
