Hey guys I just had the Edge Juice w/ Attitude installed on my 04 cummins. I love the power on stage 5 however the truck doesn't smoke the way I thought it would. A buddy of mine also has a 04, and his blows out like charcoal. Maybe something wrong with my truck or the module itself?

Also I've heard people say that they can get out of the truck and it will shut itself down. If anyone has any knowledge links/threads on the Juice w/ Attitude and info is greatly appreciated. I really don't have the time to mess with it right now, So i'm really in need of help.

i.e. Any nifty settings, or how it should be set up

hey I got one coming tomorrow and i was hoping for the smoke too

 

It's the shutdown timer that shuts off the truck automatically. You have to turn the feature on using the menu, then set the parking brake before turning off the key. The shutdown can be either based on time, for example 60 seconds after you turn the key, or based on EGT, such as 400 degrees. This is all explained in the owner's manual.

 

smoke = wasted fuel & lost hp/tq.... I'd be happy if mine didnt smoke. needs a bigger turbo...

 

Is bigger turbo the only way to get the smoke? I thought about the Hot code since they're selling it for 50$ atm... Would stacking something else with it produce the smoke I want?I've heard that black smoke = Wasted horsepower and I understand the concept. But there's times that I just want the smoke to roll out.Also I was fiddling with it today and saw nothing about the auto shut down. Mine doesn't seem to have that many options to play around with.

 

No, I think Steve means that if you have some mods that increase the amount of fuel that is injected, a bigger turbo adds more air so it won't smoke.

Yeah the website says $100, but its a promo that the Edge tech told me about. Not sure when it ends though. Give em' a call.

 

My '01 smokes with the juice pretty good. There is an option on mine to display the fuel pressure. If you have that you should take a look and see what kind of fuel pressure your truck maintains when you get on it. If you dont have the fuel there you probably wont get the smoke, also if you have the vp44 injection pump and do not have adequate fuel pressure you'll be stressin that expensive pump. At WOT you should maintain 10 lbs, definately I would not let my own go below 7 lbs.
