Default 2006 2500 Rearend

i have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 dizel and the rearend went out of it at 57,000 miles. What i need to know is what the specs are for seting the thing up mainly what the backlash is and how much movement i should have in the ring gear. im no mechanic but my buddy is so he will be seting the thing up for me. any input would help of if you can tell me what website to go to that would work to.
