Default 5.9 Cummins won't start

Went to start my truck the other day, turned the key & nothing. Pulled the starter & had it tested-it's fine. Changed the starter relay-still nothing, not even a solenoid click. Batteries are strong-lights don't dim when key is turned. It's a 2000 2500,5.9 24v Cummins automatic. Any ideas before I have to spend the big$ at the dealer's?
Thanks

Could be the neutral safety switch on the trans. ( 3 wire plug)
Does it start in neutral?

I just sent my '06 to the dealer for the same issue. What solved your issue?

Smile Got it!

Turned out to be the starter relay fuse. They let me off easy at $54.

Default Update

Well, it's doing it again. Blew all 3 spare fuses yesterday. When this first started I pulled the starter & the copper contacts appear fine( The starter is a Napa, new in 2006). It tested fine on the tester at Napa. My mechanic says that it must be a bad solenoid. Anybody else having this problem?
TIA

Default Wont start

I had the same problem, my truck would not start but finally I realized it was only when the tilt wheel was all the way up. The power wire was pulled out of its connector when the steering wheel was up and pushed back in when any where else. Look under the plastic below the wheel.
Good luck
