Default Codes

Just making sure that I can get codes from my odometer on my 99 CTD doing the on-off-on-off-on ignition trick. I have tried this and not thrown any codes yet just verifiying it works on this year as well.
Thanks

Have you ever had your truck checked to see if it throws any codes and how did you do it? Not having any problems just want a way to verify my VP44 is not going bad-- yes have a new lift pump and fuel pressure gauge and have read alot on here on how others can get codes just was not sure what years it worked on from the odometer.

Thanks for the reply
