Default Flywheel in the 07 5.9's

ok, so the 2 piece flywheel is finally giving me trouble and coming apart making my truck shake. my buddy replaced his with steel flywheel and new clutch kit, but his truck bunny hops when you take off, it is not smooth at all.

We pull 53ft car trailer with our trucks and his is terrible. My question is what do I do? Is the steel flywheel in his truck causing his truck to jump and hop when taking off? Where can I get a good after market flywheel that has the same feel as the factory?

It is probably the type of clutch he selected and not the flywheel that is causing the chatter. The 2 main companies people use to replace clutches on these trucks are South Bend Clutch, and Valair. I am planning on a Valair for myself later on this year. If you are running a stock engine you can get the Organic, if you are running a slightly modified engine up to about 450 HP you can get the Organic Ferramic. Both companies have web sites, I suggest you do some reading and see what they have to offer.
