I have been a ford guy for alot of years, but since moving to the mountains in wyomning i find that high altitude and small bore V8s dont mix. So i was looking into a F250 7.3, but selection sucks and it seems that the used market around here is mainly dodge. So i'm looking for a dodge quad cab with the 24 vavle cummins what are some of the things to be looking for on this vintage of dodge?? how many miles out a tranny??

 

I would suggest a manual tranny. Check ball joints and have fuel pressure checked because the stock lift pump is horrible. Also check the power steering box.
