Default Ideas on how to hook stacks up.

I have a 1994 12 valve Cummins and I have 8" that goes to 5" at the bottom. I dont have a kit to hook these up. Anyone know of a cheap way to hook them up? Like flex pipe all the way or would the not work or not make it sound as nice as solid? Any ideas would help lots.

i have set up about 10 different stack systems, the best way i have found is to use a piece of 5x5 tubing across the bed floor, and have about a six inch long pipe welded to the botton to go through the bed and have a slip fit connection with a band clamp, flex pipe will work great to connect the exhaust pipe to the stack system.

Heres mine, 4"X4" crossover into 5" stacks. I crushed one end of the short 5" pipe in a vise to oval it to fit the 4" crossover. You can also get a 4"-5" reducer. Underneath I used a 90* and a 45* to come up to the center, and a short flex to connect it and allow for movement.
Painted it with grill paint.

Or you can get the Grand Rock bed kit and hook your stacks to the bed kit. Here is mine.....

Basically everything that is not chrome would come with the kit, including the 90 degree elbo, flex pipe, and all the clamps.

Thanks! The bed kit by itself is not too bad. Shop around a little, you may even be able to find one on Ebay or craigs list in your area.
