Angry fuel problem

can anyone help? I have a 2007 Dodge 6.7 with the follow modificaton to it: stage 2 cold air intake, edgejuice with attitude, 4" straight pipe and down pipe, and recently just added an airdog fp150 fuel pump. the problem happen before I added the new airdog fuel pump. It drive like it has a dirty fuel injector. The engine sounded like it about to die out and press on the gas padel it accelerate very rough. so, i upgrade the fuel pump to an airdog fp150 with more fuel pressure the same problem.

This needs to be moved to the diesel section, but till then....

Edgejuice? Is that a programmer? Have you tried re-loading it? Have you tried unhooking the battery or resetting the ecu?

How about checking the fuel filter? Maybe there's water in there? There should be a water drain on the filter housing?

Does it get rough at a certain rpm or all the time?

yes edge juice is a programer. It get even rougher when I set it to level 3 and up. Now I have to set it to sock to get a better ride still rough but not as bad. Isn't the airdog fuel pump suppose to bypass the stock fuel filter and the water filter?

Thanks for the help DirtyDog. I unhooked the programer and started the truck and drove it around for a while and hooked it back on it solve the problem. I guest it was the electronic problem from the programer.

Fuel Filters get dirty quick sometimes. I change mine every 15k miles. sometimes you just get bad fuel. Also consider running some power service to help clean out the injectors.

Right now, I'd say you have an injector that is crapped out.

Cheapest thing to do is bring it to the deal and have them hook the StarScan to it and do an Injector Kill test.

When you kill a good injector, the engine will chang speed and sound.

When you kill the one that's crapped out, there will be little or no change and then you know you have the right one.

It's about $65 for a diagnostic fee and it's money well spent.
