You have the dreaded Death Wobble.

3 things you can do.....

1 - take it in for an alignment and have them set the caster to AT LEAST 5 1/2*
2 - replace the steering stabilizer
3 - add a steering box brace.

there are apparently several equations that can cause this I had my truck checked out and found noyhing wore out so I put a drop pitman arm on mine and seems to have fixed my problem. I did however end up with some bump steer and put a BD diesel steering box stabilizer on and seems to have cured that too. not saying this the correct fix at all just has worked for me

The steering shock can be warn out along with the track bar, specially if it was used for plowing. The tie rod ends can be worn out. Have someone turn the steering wheel from full lock to full lock (right to left and back) with you looking under the front bumper. You should see and hear looseness in the front end. I had the same problem and replaced the track bar, sway bar hangers, tie rods, shocks and steering shock and everytime I replace a part it got better and quieter. The worst parts were my tie rod ends. They were ready to fall off.
