Default How often does your 6.7 regen?

Hello,
It seems like every time I take my 2500 Ram out for a drive it goes into regen mode. My typical trip is about 25 miles of 40% highway and 60% in town driving. I can tell it is regenerating by the drop off in mileage, or the intense heat (ticking noise) coming from the exhaust if I park it. If I take it on a strictly highway trip, it seems to regen about every 100 miles. How often does your truck regenerate?

Thank you in advance for all of your comments,
Don

Are you getting any soot build up on the tailpipe? What is your mileage like? The truck should only regen for 10 minutes at a time. Are you running any mods? Also have you unplugged your EGR? I've heard about 200-250 miles is about the average for regens. If it doesn't stop your dpf may be damaged or you have build up of soot on the sensers and it is causing the truck to constantly regen.

Thanks for your comments,
The truck is 100% stock, EGR has never been touched, no soot in the tailpipe. With 7500 miles on it I get around 18 stricktly highway, 16 in mixed driving, 12 pulling my 6500 lb. travel trailer. I was hoping for better mileage with a manual transmission and easy driving. Maybe this will improve with more break in.
