Default 2004 Motor Trend Diesel Comparison

I was doing some research comparisons and came across this article, thought I would share.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...eleration.html

I thought it was funny that they gave the Chevy a "plus" because it has IFS. I don't even like IFS in a half ton let alone a 3/4 ton regardless of the "ride".
I also remember reading an statistic back in '06 in Peterson's Offroad about the number of TSB's (technical service bulletine) from the big 3 on their diesel trucks......the first 2 yrs of production on the 6.0L from Ford (this article is in that time frame) had 80 TSB's, in that same time frame Chevy had a dozen and dodge had ONE!! That always stuck with me.
I wonder how that link above would read if they wrote it now in hind sight!!

Yea, I didn't really intend for the article to help someone choose because I think the review is wrong. I posted it because I think it is funny how backwards it is. For an '04, I would of rated 1)Dodge 2) chevy 3) Ford.

I see what you mean now. that is funny that they would give a Chevy they better rating. I wonder what the people drive that write them columns? at the end of the day dodge will be a better choice better fuel economy then all three. maybe a little slower in the quarter mile but that's not that big of a difference on ford's truck. even though chevy was the slowest. then look at the price dodge is the cheapest with the cummins engine At least they will stand behind the motor.

Ya gotta remember, it's Motor Trend. Those guys are car yuppies so it's no wonder they liked the Chevy.
